The bet in play odds for the top drivers during Canada qualifying.
At Canada, at various intervals throughout each qualifying session I recorded the odds available from SkyBet for the shortest priced drivers and then used the figures to produce the chart below. Just to clarify, the graph is based on the odds for each driver to get pole position, not to win the actual Grand Prix.
The other driver of note was of course Valtteri Bottas who started Q1 priced at 751.0 and eventually plummeted in price down to 21.0 after setting the time which would eventually earn him 3rd spot on the grid. In the end he finished up within half a second of Sebastian Vettel's pole position lap and it perhaps shows that if you fancy a speculative bet on formula 1 then a wet or damp qualifying session is maybe one time to consider it.
The bet in play odds during the race weren't particularly surprising given that Sebastian Vettel always looked in control, but in the next few days I'll follow up this qualifying chart with a similar chart for the actual Grand Prix.
